FC Seoul is a Korean professional football club that is based in Seoul. It was founded in 1983 originally as the Lucky-Goldstar FC, then it became the LG Cheetahs in 1991 and the Anyang LG Cheetahs in 1996. When the club returned to Seoul in 2004, it was re-branded as FC Seoul.
FC Seoul has won 5 league titles (1985, 1990, 2000, 2010, 2012) and 2 FA Cups (1998, 2015) so far. FC Seoul has become the power house of the Asian Club Football with the accomplishment of reaching the AFC Champions League Finals in 2013 and the semifinals in 2014. FC Seoul is the only Korean Club to reach the semifinals in two consecutive years (2013 and 2014).
FC Seoul has had big success not only on the field but also in attracting fans. They hold the record for the most attendance ever in Korean professional sports history (60,747 spectators on May 5th 2010) and also for the largest number of spectators throughout a whole season (545,397) in the K League history. FC Seoul is also the most popular club in the K League and they covered their name on the K League top 10 all-time attendance record.
